My practice as a textile designer and maker has been enriched by receiving influences from the places where I have lived. From my time in Colombia to the years in Barcelona where I have worked and collaborated with artists and designers. Now in beautiful Devon, I live with my family surrounded by the enchanting Dartmoor; here the inspiration is always served!

I have been interested in textiles and embellishment of fabrics for as long as I can remember. From a very early age, I was taught to sew by hand and to embroider in my native city in Colombia. My adventurous spirit made me move to Spain, where I could keep learning. In 2012, life finally brought me to Devon, UK, the place I call home. After achieving a first class degree in Textile Practices from the Plymouth College of Art, a study that complemented my previous 25 years trajectory in the field, I decided to execute this idea I have been shaping through years.
In pursuit of my dreams, I decided to move to Spain in 2001. I lived in cosmopolitan Barcelona for over 11 years where I met fascinating people from all over the world. During this period I had the opportunity to continue with my studies in design institutions as Felicidad Duce and I.D.E.P. I have collaborated with jewellery makers, fashion and costume designers, and increased my sewing machine and soft furnishing skillset thanks to works in the manufacturing industry.
From a very early age I was interested in painting, drawing and hand embroidery. I studied in Taller Cinco, Bogotá, where I got my A level in Art and Fashion Design. Returning to Cartago, I set up my own design and embroidery workshop with my mother’s help from whom I had previously received my first teachings about textiles handicrafts.
